My rainy Saturday friend

I broke down and finally bought a sewing machine. Turns out it's not that hard to use, it's actually pretty easy and I quite enjoyed my rainy Saturday sewing projects. My three projects are based on my Google search for "simple sewing tutorial". All in all I'm happy with how they turned out. So here they are with a link to the tutorial below if you want to make any of them for yourself. Enjoy.

Project #1: Pillow Cover. I want to make real ones and this was my practice with cheap fabric. It was a little small so I quickly learned how to sew a button hole and voila! it shut. :) I need bigger buttons though. More pillow covers will be made soon for the living room. And how fun will these be when holiday's arrive?

Project #2: Braided Scarf. LOVE IT and will be making more soon.

Project #3: Fabric Alphabet Letters. I have lots of letter lovers in my class and I think they are going to enjoy these. Perfect for our "mystery box". And I got to practice sewing all sorts of lines and curves :). Next up is lower case letters and numbers.
