Some things that are making me happy...

1. Our kitchen counter is FINALLY done!! The hubby and I (and I use the word "I" loosely because I mostly watched) re-did it ourselves. I did however, paint the backsplash myself last night and I still have the paint in my hair to prove it! Here are some pics of my lovely new counter.

2. I actually got our wash tub clean. Well, as clean as it's going to get. It was absolutely atrocious when we moved in and then we literally painted every surface of our whole house and that wash tub was where all the paint brushes and things got washed out as well as anything gross that needed cleaning during all of our house projects we've done in the last year and a half and that was A LOT! So, I can't believe I'm going to show you guys this picture, but you don't know a gross wash tub until you've seen this. We are going to replace it eventually, but for now I cleaned it. I've tried everything. Baking soda paste concoction, bleach, WD40, Coke, and guess what worked. A Magic Eraser!! Those things seriously are magic. Harry Potter has got nothing on the magic eraser. I don't know why I never tried it earlier, because I swear by them and use them all the time. It took about 70% of the grossness out and then I used steel wool to get the paint chips that were stuck on there from 100 years ago out and it turned out pretty decent. It still has a little yellow stain to it but I'm much happier looking at it this way than what it was before. Here is the before and after...don't judge!

3. My DIY dresses. I am still dress obsessed and made myself a new one today.

4. Boot camp. My boot camp class moved up to 2 days a week! I'm feeling the burn! :)

5. Taking pictures of myself in the mirror. Who doesn't like to do that?

6. My Mom. We hung out just the two of us yesterday which we don't do too often and it was perfect! We had lunch and explored some great little stores by my house and enjoyed each other's company. I missed her. Sometimes a girl just needs her Mom.
