Christmas projects are DONE!!

Tonight is my last Christmas celebration for this year, tomorrow begins the Birthday celebrations!! I've been busy with my week off (perks of being a teacher). I finished up all of my Christmas crafts to do list.

First was the homemade Vanilla extract. Super easy to make. I only do easy. Liquor and Vanilla Beans- let it sit for a month. Jim and I did this project together. I think each year we may just choose something new to give at Christmas that we can make together. I tried putting those fancy little wax seals on these...didn't quite work out so well. They looked like silver blobs so I stuck with ribbon. :)

Next on my list was some Caramel Sauce. I've had a heck of a time trying to get the dumb crap to work. I had batches that didn't do anything but make yellowish colored water, some that burned, and some that crystallized the second I took it out of the pot. The stove and I don't get along so I was done going that route. New recipe- Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk, submerge the whole can (unopened) in a crock pot full of water and let it sit on high for 4-4 1/2 hours and DONE you have caramel sauce. I told you I like easy. What's easier than a recipe with 1 ingredient. Pretty sure that's not even a recipe, but whatever! It tastes good.

Yesterday morning at 7am I thought it would be a good idea to make bath fizzies. They were again easy. Mix the ingredients, spray with some witch hazel until clumpy and then stick them in molds, ta-da bath fizzies. They even really work. I tried the ones in the sink that didn't come out of the mold right and they really fizzed! Warning: if you make these you may want to wear a mask, I had a little bit of a lavender high when I was done from all of the essential olis. You think 15-20 drops isn't that much well think again IT IS!
Here they are.

Now I am done with my crafts and going to enjoy my Christmas party!
