Happy New Year to you!

Today is a good day. Mostly because it's Jim's birthday and I love birthdays, but also because you get to start all over with a clean slate. 2011 was a successful year I would say. We have redone practically our whole house and finally made it feel like a home, explored our new city we live in, and added Charlie to our little family. Sounds like an exciting year huh? We are exciting people!!

She was so tiny. Kylie and her are best friends!

Maybe 2012 will be just as exciting? Doubt it, but you never know. Sometimes it's nice to have some down time for awhile. Oh who am I kidding, I love crazy. I like the unexpected and the fast pace of everything. Remember I'm always the one trying to move things along. I'm always wondering what's next, I don't like sitting still. So of course I made not only 1 new year's resolution like normal people, but I made 3. Maybe I'll even be able to stick to them. I have the famous re-occurring resolution to exercise more and eat healthier. Jim and I are going at it together this time so it might just last more than a few weeks. I started out my day with a run so hey I'm doing good! We'll see what happens on Tuesday when I have to go back to work and the alarm is yelling at me to get up and run at 5am. The next goal is to stick to a budget. I'm horrible at budgets and always have been, probably because when I want something I want it now and don't like to wait. But it's a new year and I can try new things right? Organize my house and my life, that is last on my 2012 to do list. I did find this great tool to help organize your house in a year and it's small tasks to take on week by week. I'm going to try it! I'll keep you posted.

I know there will be some change in 2012. I like change, I crave change and not just the cut all your hair off change but get a new job or move to a new state and explore kind of change. We'll see what 2012 brings. I'm sure whatever it is it will be good. Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year full of change and excitement!

  1. You get that not liking to sit still thing from me - I hate lazy. And you know you just set your sister off on a rant with that new state thing, right? :)
