I LOVE Christmas. There is something about this time of year that gives me extra energy. I want to finish off the year with a bang. Make it the year to remember. I love everything about Nov-Dec. The smell apple-cinnamon candles (my fav), the time spent with loved ones, the sparkling lights everywhere, shopping for the perfect gift, sitting by the window and watching the first snowfall, cuddling up with a blanket on the couch and doing nothing for hours but looking at the Christmas tree.

It's my favorite season. I chose to get married in December in the freezing cold and take pictures outside...yep you heard me right...outside! and I loved every minute of it, no matter how cold my hands were.

I also get so excited for winter break (I'm a teacher) and by December the kids and myself are all ready for a break! I enjoy seeing how excited my kids get when they see the first snow fall and they get to wear their boots, hats and mittens to school. I plan an extra long "winter" theme unit because I have too many fun songs, stories, and art projects to fit in. I enjoy having 5 different Christmas' to celebrate. I can not wait until I have my own children to share this time of year with and continue old traditions (like hiding the pickle in the tree) and start new traditions (trust me I'm already planning them :). The only problem with loving this time of year so much is that when it is all over, I am sad. I am sad that I have to wait another whole year to do it all over again. But for now I am just going to enjoy my decorating, cooking baking, snuggling, and everything else that goes along with Christmas and not think about the long winter that follows.
