I AM IN LOVE!!!!
Can you guess what we've been doing the past few days? Taking pictures of everything, anything, and nothing. The other night when I was uploading pictures onto the computer with Jim looking over my shoulder as the pictures flash across the screen one at a time, this is our conversation.
Jim- "Did you honestly take that many pictures of your hot chocolate?"
Me-" Yep, I was practicing and my marshmallows looked cool"
...a few seconds later....
Me- "Did you seriously take that many pictures of your feet?"
Jim-"Yeah, I was figuring out how to use the depth."
So as you can imagine, we have lots of cool pictures of marshmallows and the hubby's feet. We also have about 600 pictures of Charlie, because out of the four living things in this house, she is the most cooperative.
Of course we didn't forget to take pictures of Pico, he's just harder to get pictures of because his favorite place to be is constantly at my feet. However, he will take a break from obsessing over where I am at all times to take a nap if I fold up a blanket that is nice and warm from the dryer.

Since it was so amazingly georgeous outside today, we took our photography outdoors. We went to the lake and took pictures until we ran the battery out of the camera. I forgot how much I enjoy walking out into the middle of a lake in the winter. It's just this amazing feeling of walking on water...because, well you really are! It was awesome! We walked, stopped and took some pictures, spun around on the ice (well I did, the hubby wasn't really into the whole, spin like a ballerina because you can actually do it on the ice), took more pictures, met a friendly pooch who was ice fishing with his owner, took more pictures, and just enjoyed being outside.
He has issues with sun and his eyes. Me- "Can't you just suck it up for one photo? Ready, Set, Open Your Eyes!" This was the best I got.
P.S. Learning how to curl my hair...by the time it's finally long (about 3 years) I'll be a pro. :)
I asked the hubby what all these holes were...ice fishing holes! DUH! I forget you can fish on this lake, because you can't have boats on it.
Wait for it....keep waiting....a little longer.... nothing happened. That's why I can't stand fishing. Something happens every 3 hours, maybe. I have better things to do then stare at a red flag or a bobber.
Cross country skiers were here. There is so much going on on the lake even in the winter! People were ice fishing, cross country skiing, ice skating, running, walking, playing with kids and dogs, flying HUGE remote controlled air planes, and taking pictures (we weren't the only ones).
Of course, because we got a new camera the hubby had to take pictures of his car. He loves the dang thing. When I asked him what he wanted to do today he responded with "Go get my car washed and take pictures of it". REALLY?? So he did.
So then I made him take pictures with ME :)
We literally took about 60 pictures before we even got both of our faces in the picture. Practice makes perfect, well an off center kind of perfect, but our perfect.
It's a 3 day weekend for me, YAY! So tomorrow my adorable little nieces are joining me for a sleep over. Can you guess what you'll be seeing pictures of next??? Hey, I'm making memories people!
well i can tell you if you let kylie get ahold of that camera...not only will you have 60 pictures of jims feet...you will have them of kylies too!! She is obcessed!!
