The Mile High City

Finally you can hear about my trip to Denver, it's only 2 weeks late, thanks to my awesome horrible computer that refused to let me log into blogger. Every time I tried it would shut off, maybe it was a sign? Who knows. Anyways, we spent a few days exploring the city and a whole day in the mountains. We went to the zoo, visited Buffalo Bill's grave, drove around the mountains, went to Boulder, Breckenridge, and Vail (I need to learn how to ski or snowboard), took a tour of the Coors Brewery in Golden, and ate lots of good food in the city. Their city is awesome, very similar to Minneapolis, but it seemed a little bit cleaner. They have everything and I mean EVERYTHING right in the city. There is a freaking amusement park with roller coasters and the whole shebang! The zoo (which has elephants!), their science museum, theaters, and 800 sports stadiums (ok, maybe not 800 but there are a few). You'd never have to leave, everything you could imagine to do is right there- except for when you see the amazing mountain outline you really want to leave and go there. So we did. How have I never been into any mountains before??? Absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to stay forever and never leave. I could sit and stare for hours, I took hundreds (literally) of pictures and not one can capture the beauty that you see and feel in person. I LOVED IT! I loved it so much that I am going back in May! :) My mom, sister, and I are going for a long weekend and we are going to see Wicked while we're there. I can hardly contain my excitement to see Wicked again, best musical ever, hands down. If you haven't seen it yet, GO! Not to mention I have never been on a trip with just my sister and mom. It's going to be amazing. Stay posted for those pics! For now you're going to have to deal with these. Just a few from our trip.

Someday I'm going to be brave and try this. For now, peering over the edge of a cliff was enough adventure for one day.

Biggest freaking turtle I've ever seen!

Dori lives in Denver.
