Sister love

My sister and I have this amazing connection and bond that I've talked about before (here) and I have always thought that it had something to do with the fact that we are identical twins. I don't have any other siblings so I don't have anything to compare it to. But, after spending the last few days with my neices (due to my sis's surgery) I'm not so sure, maybe it's just a sister bond. These girls are 4 years apart and just adore each other. It's not a one sided love. Veronica looks up to her bigger sister and wants to do everything she does, wants to be with her, share her joy with her sister, and she finds comfort in knowing she's with her. She's constantly saying to me "Auntie, Kylie funny". And Kylie...I'm so proud of that little lady. She has grown up to be the most kind, sensitive, helpful, and loving child. She enjoys helping her sister and even though she's 6 1/2 (can't forget the 1/2 that's important when your 6) she enjoys playing with her almost 2 yr. old sister. Of course they get on each others nerves sometimes but at the end of the day it's a true friendship. I watched yesterday as Veronica cheered on her big sister at her first day of tennis and sang "Happy Birthday" to her a hundred times. (It's not her bday it's just a good song) Then when having a sleepover at my house and bed time comes, Veronica was crying when I left the room and through the door I hear the sweetest big sister voice saying "It's okay Ronnie, you can snuggle with me, it will be alright. Here, come snuggle, I'll read you a story". And as she starts to read her little sister a story the crying stops. When I checked on them a few minutes later they were both sound asleep snuggled as close as they could get. That's true sister love. I couldn't be a prouder auntie, it is my favorite job.
