You know those moments or days that you don't want to end because they've been so perfect? That has been my week. I am very grateful. I feel like the hubby and I went on a vacation this week. Really we didn't. We hardly left our house and the furthest we traveled is 15 minutes to Dinky-town to have dinner with a friend. But, he did have the week off..well starting Tuesday and it has been perfect. We've enjoyed the company of each other and spent quality time doing what we do...being us. An afternoon movie because we could, happy hour at our favorite spots, frozen yogurt accompanied by the sunset at the lake, dinner with friends, sitting quietly watching the dogs do crazy puppy runs around the living room, canoeing for the first time, afternoon naps in the pool, and late night wine and cheese around the fire. It's been relaxing and rejuvenating. Sometimes it's nice to just be home, make no plans, and do whatever we want. Even if that includes sleeping in until 10 (we NEVER do that!!) or watching Jim's favorite trilogy, Lord of the Rings, each night until I have successfully watched (not slept through) all three. Our perfect week even included...wait for it....Cleaning the garage!!! I didn't even have to beg the hubby to help, he volunteered. I'm telling you....the perfect week. I'm happy we had this time, because it's going to get crazy with his travel and summer plans in the upcoming weeks. I'm happy with us, with our life, right here in this moment. I'm not looking in the past or into the future, just at right now. Our little family of 4. The hubs and I and our four legged friends are in a good place. I'm doing what my blog title says...embracing the moment, this moment. I hope your week was just as perfect or at least had it's perfect moments.
