Erasable Permanent Marker

It's possible. I'm not crazy. I learned how to do this two years ago and it's pretty awesome so I thought I would share with all you teachers out there or people that like to label and re-label things.

Here's what you do:
1. Take anything that's laminated.
2. Write whatever you want on it with permanent maker. (that is permanent, the cheap fat kind)
3. Get a Dry-Erase marker.
4. When you're ready to erase, color over your previous writing with the dry erase marker.
5.  Wipe off with a dry towel. Ta-Da! Just like brand new.

I use this method on a ton of stuff in my room from year to year that incorporate my students names or things that I want to re-use from year to year. For example, I have a birthday bulletin board that has balloons on it that I write my students name and birthday on and re-use them each year. I write my students bus numbers on bus cut outs and then I am able to change it if their bus number changes throughout the year. I also use it on my calendar numbers so I can add special events when needed. The best part is that it's permanent (until you don't want it to be anymore) and won't rub off like dry-erase would if someone were to touch it (like little kid fingers).

I am actually thinking of doing this for labels in my craft room, because I am constantly changing what's in the bins and re-organizing. It would save me from having to make new labels every time I re-organize. I could just use the same ones over and over.
