Seven Quick Takes

Joining Grace for the 1st time for seven quick takes. She is one of my favorite bloggers and seriously hilarious. Check her out.

1. Every year I forget how tough the beginning of the school year is. My morning class are all experienced in the art of preschool and we're getting along great! My afternoon class is a different story... they're all new to this party and they're not enjoying it so much. I can't blame them. They're thrown into this new place with new people and no idea why the heck they're here and it takes us both a while to get to know one another and get into the routine of things. They cry, I want to cry, and it's a big hot mess of crazy. Maybe next year I'll refer back to this post prior to the start of the new year for a little reminder that the next few weeks of my life are going to consist of tears, 8:30 bed times, and teacher support group happy hours.

2. Speaking of going to bed early. I fell asleep the other night while the hubs was on a conference call with China and apparently when he finished and came to bed we had a conversation about I don't know what because I don't remember having it. Don't you hate it when that happens? I don't think I should be accountable for anything said during that conversation.

3. Is it too early to wear boots? because I really want to wear boots.

4.  Talked with my niece the other day and she informed me that she would like a hula-hoop for her birthday (which is not until December, she's thinking ahead). I'm pretty sure she should have been born about 30 years ago because she asks for the simplest gifts. Previous wish lists included a pogo stick (which she also let me know that she needs a new one of because her mom ran over hers), gum, glow sticks, headbands, at one point she even asked me for a new tooth brush. This kid seriously cracks me up.

5. Have you all already heard of this Amazon Price Check app? AMAZING! This could be a bad thing because it can literally find anything I am looking for AND find me a good price! UPS just may be making more frequent stops at my house. They've already stopped by to say "hey" twice this week.

6. Charlie thinks that when I'm on the computer that is code for 'time to cuddle'. I'll take it. How can you resist cuddling up with this cute face?

7. It's 9:00. A half hour past my bed time this week, which means I'm probably going to get crabby real soon if I don't get to bed, so later friends. Enjoy your weekend.
