Clean your burners

I am a horrible cook unless it has to do with a potato, other than that, I can't really cook. The hubs does all the cooking in this house and I do the clean up. It's a fair trade, except for the fact that he is a MESSY cook. But the food is good so I don't complain...until it comes to the burners on the stove. We have a gas stove with the big chunky burners that everything gets caked onto and then NEVER comes off. So one day on my search through Pinterest I found a trick to clean stove burners and low and behold it worked! It actually worked really well and was extremely simple. Wanna know how to do it?

Take your gross burner, stick it in a sealed bag with about 1/2 cup of pure ammonia (I got a gallon at my local hardware store for $1) and let it sit over night. The burners don't need to be covered in the ammonia, just in the bag with it. The next day, open the bag (I recommend doing it in a laundry tub or somewhere besides the kitchen because ammonia smells very strong) and wipe the burners off with a sponge and water and all of the gross stuff that you thought would NEVER come off just disappears. Amazing!
