Gift Tags

Each year I try to come up with a new way to label? address? tag? (is there a technical term for it?) my gifts. Last year I monogramed each gift which took forever. That required tracing and cutting out the first letter of each person's name and then remembering who's gift was who's if they had the same first initial...tricky but no gifts got mixed up. Quite the accomplishment I say.
Anywho, this year I decided to continue with my chalkboard addiction with these beauties...

They were really simple and way less time consuming. I used wooden pieces from Michael's that were about 40 cents a piece and painted them with chalkboard paint. Then I had the hubs drill a hole in the top of each one and I made them into little gift tags/ornaments. I figure people can either erase their name and reuse them next year or hang them on their tree because their so adorable and everyone should want a piece of chalkboard on their tree. right? :)

P.S. Kids toys come in the oddest shapes and are the worst to wrap. Kylie's getting a gift that looks like I wrapped her up a coffin. poor kid.
